Mole and other underground rodents

Moles Don’t Just Wander Randomly

A mole’s underground system can contain different types of tunnels used for different purposes. Some shallow tunnels may be temporary feeding runs.

Other tunnels may be used repeatedly as travel routes between feeding areas, resting areas, and deeper portions of the burrow system. That means the newest or most visible ridge in the lawn is not automatically the most important tunnel to treat.

The goal is to locate the active portions of the system the animal is actually using. That can require inspection, probing, observation, and time.

How BurrowRx Works

BurrowRx allows us to introduce carbon monoxide directly into an active underground burrow system.

A two-visit program built around changing mole activity.

Starting at $400 for the initial treatment

plus, ensuring that both newly created tunnels and persistent activity are effectively addressed. This two-visit approach increases the likelihood of complete mole control by allowing us to adapt treatments based on the mole’s changing behavior and verify that the system is fully treated, a minimum of two total visits

Other Treatment types

There are other methods to treating moles.

Trapping, Grub control and using a poison bait buried inside the tunnels are alternative methods.

Why soil condition matters

Moist, cohesive soil helps treatment stay where it belongs.

Better treatment conditions Reasonably moist, cohesive soil and clearly active connected runs.

More difficult conditions Dry, cracked, sandy or extremely porous soil that allows rapid leakage.

What smoke tells us Visible tracer smoke can reveal exit points, shallow runs and areas where the system is losing treatment.

Seeing beneath the lawn

Understanding the tunnel system makes the treatment make sense.
